A safe, respectful space

No need to know how to pose

You are guided gently throughout the session.

More than a photoshoot

Conversation, photography and a shared image discovery.

Therapeutic portrait photography

This is not about looking perfect. It is about recognising yourself.

Many people avoid photographs because the camera seems to confirm every insecurity. Therapeutic photography offers another experience: one where you are listened to before you are photographed, where nothing is forced, and where your portraits can become a gentler place to meet yourself.

Together, we create images that feel honest, alive and deeply yours. The aim is not to transform your appearance, but to transform the way you are allowed to look at it.

01 — EASE

Feel safer in front of the camera

You do not have to be confident first. The experience is shaped around your comfort, your story and your boundaries.

02 — KINDNESS

See your image with less judgement

Discover portraits through a guided, supportive process rather than facing them alone through the lens of old criticism.

03 — TRUTH

Recognise the person within the portrait

Create photographs that reflect your sensitivity, strength, movement and presence — not an imposed version of who you should be.

The experience

Three moments. One honest encounter.

Every session is personal. This simple structure creates enough safety for something real to emerge.

We talk

Before taking photographs, we explore your relationship with your image, what feels difficult, what you hope to experience and what must be respected.

We photograph

I guide you without rigid posing. We work with breath, movement, expression, light and silence, allowing the portraits to develop at your pace.

We look together

The images are discovered in a supportive setting. We notice what you feel, what surprises you and where a kinder, more truthful perception can begin.

Portrait stories

Images that feel like someone — not something.

Select photographs that show variety in age, body, emotion and energy. Let the gallery communicate safety, truth and humanity before perfection.

You do not need to love being photographed before you come. You only need a little space to meet yourself differently.

Replace with your portrait of Anne

Meet your photographer

Hello, I’m Anne.

I am a portrait photographer based in Nyon, and my work has always been rooted in human connection. Before becoming a full-time photographer, I worked as a teacher — listening, observing and helping people find confidence in their own voice.

Today, I bring warmth, humour, intuition and deep respect for personal boundaries into every session. I do not photograph the person you think you should be. I create the conditions for the person you already are to become visible.

My photographs are sensitive, honest and alive. They are created with you, never imposed on you.

Questions you may be carrying

Before you step in front of the camera.

What is therapeutic photography?

Therapeutic photography is a guided photographic experience that can support self-exploration, self-acceptance and a more compassionate relationship with your image. The conversation, the portrait session and the way the photographs are discovered are all part of the process.

Do I need to feel comfortable in front of the camera?

Not at all. Most people who choose this experience feel uncomfortable or highly self-conscious in photographs. You will be guided gently, and nothing will be forced. Feeling safe matters more than performing.

Is this medical phototherapy or psychotherapy?

No. This is therapeutic photography, not UV or light-based medical phototherapy, and it is not a substitute for psychotherapy, psychiatric care or medical treatment.

Where do sessions take place?

Sessions can take place in Anne’s home studio near Nyon or in a carefully chosen natural setting. Services are available around Nyon, Geneva, Lausanne and across Swiss Romandie.

Can the session be adapted to my personal story?

Yes. Every session begins with a conversation so the experience can respect your history, sensitivities, boundaries and intentions.
