Meet Anne Gerzat
Sensitive photography, grounded in human connection.
I photograph people with warmth, intuition and a deep respect for the stories they carry — including the stories they have learned to tell about their own image.

Behind the camera
Hello, I’m Anne.
I am a portrait photographer based in Nyon, Switzerland. I have been practising photography since 2012 and became a full-time photographer at the end of 2020, after a career in teaching.
Both paths are connected by the same fascination: human beings, communication, sensitivity and the way people become visible when they feel genuinely met.
My clients often arrive saying they are not photogenic. I do not try to convince them with a compliment. I create an experience in which they no longer have to defend themselves from the camera.

My way of working
Gentle does not mean superficial.
Listening
The session begins with what matters to you, not with a preset pose or aesthetic formula.
Honesty
I seek images that feel alive and true, without erasing everything that makes a face or body human.
Lightness
Depth and emotion can coexist with laughter. You are allowed to breathe, move and remain fully yourself.
Photography as relationship
I do not photograph a surface. I photograph a meeting.
My approach draws on years of portrait work, close observation and an enduring interest in sociology and communication. The photograph matters, but so does everything that allows it to exist: trust, language, timing, silence, permission and the space left for surprise.
